Hudson’s Beckett Campbell and Grayson Bills combined for 401 yards rushing and six touchdowns Saturday as the Tigers beat Allen Park Cabrini to advance to the state championship game Friday against Harbor Beach at Ford Field.
The Tigers defense started the game by giving up a 45-yard pass, but then forced a turnover after Cabrini couldn’t convert on a fourth-and-3. Two plays later Campbell ran 76 yards untouched for the game’s first touchdown.
Grayson Bills scored on back-to-back possessions to make it 22-0 before Cabrini got on the board.
After Devon Brigman made is 30-7, Hudson’s defense stopped Cabrini on a fourth down play inside their own 5-yard line. On the next play, Bills took it 97 yards for a touchdown.
The Tigers had more than 450 yards rushing as a team.
Hudson will take a 13-0 record into Friday’s state championship game against Harbor Beach, who is also undefeated.
SCHOOLCRAFT 43, CLINTON 14
COLDWATER – Schoolcraft scored on an 80-yard touchdown on the first play of the game and raced out to a 30-0 lead and never looked back.
The Redwolves end the season 10-3.
