BLISSFIELD – The Royals built an early lead, got a great game from Brandon Jacobs and Jude Rosas and started the LCAA season off on the right foot against Hillsdale.

“We have some bounce-back kids,” Blissfield coach Ryan Love said.

Jacobs said the Royals forgot quickly about last week’s shutout loss and focused on Hillsdale.

“We just focused on them and went after it all week,” Jacobs said. “We have some tough guys. I knew we could come back.”

Quote of the week

“The group has been on the varsity for two years now. They are seniors now and have been in our system. They have been in the weight room. The whole school is on the same page when it comes to that. Our coaching staff is all coming back and there is continuity there and that is important.”

~ Madison football coach Scott Gallagher
